Must have!

This little gem is a wonderful addition to anyone's backyard. Survives staying outside during the Minnesota winters with zero issues. With kids and work I'm not keen on getting up in the middle of the night to check on temp, so shoulders are a breeze. Flavor is A+!

No need to look any further....

Once you get past the purists and their "your cheating with an electric smoker" BS, welcome to flavor town. I was a little shocked at the price but you really do get what you pay for. This smoker is built very well and the food is consistently excellent. Follow the directions, line it with foil for easy cleaning, and use the CookShack rubs (or whatever you like) and your family and friends will be RAVING about the quality and flavor. I treated myself and family to this smoker and don't regret it for one second. Support through both BBQ Guys and Cookshack (had a question) was EXCELLENT as well. Buy it, cook with it, enjoy it!

Outstanding Customer Service.

Cook-shack are amazing smokers. This is now my second one. We purchased it as we needed one that would hold temperature. Had some problems with the unit and BBQ Guys customer support went above and beyond. I will only purchase from BBQ Guys in the future if something is a product they offer. It is not often in 2022 that a company stands behind their products. They went above and beyond and have made a lifetime customer because of it.

Almost Perfect

Great product, no complaints about its ability to make great meats. The accessory cart that you can buy to go with it needs some re-engineering. They state the product isn't made for commercial purposes but the casters on the cart are clearly made for a finished interior floor, not rolling out onto a driveway or patio. I returned the first cart because the welds for the threaded nuts the casters screw into failed and the wheels wobbled and flopped about. The replacement unit ( they provided great service) faired only slightly better, but I attribute that to handling it with kid gloves, not any sudden increase in durability. I'm going to fabricate a new base for the cabinet and install some larger diameter, softer material casters.

Perfect for the serious home cook!

The perfect smoker for the serious home cook. Upgraded from their smokette (which is a terrific unit and still works great). Easy to use and sure to be enjoyed by friends and family for years!

Best smoker period end of story!!!

I bought this smoker after my wife and I bought our first home about 3 years ago. The food just keeps getting better and better. I'm talking BBQ contest good! That's what anybody who tries it says. Brisket, ribs, pork belly burnt ends, pork butt, salmon, prime rib. Anything I've put in this thing comes out great as long as you give it the right rub and timing is right. It's awesome to sit back and watch everybody eat in silence shaking thier heads and saying this is so good! Smells up the entire neighborhood. If you can afford it get it! You will be the envy of everyone who tries your BBQ gurantee it!!! Money well spent!

The Skinny:

  • Stainless steel, double-walled construction for superior insulation
  • Smokes large amounts of food at once
  • Reaches temperatures as low as 140 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Proudly made in the USA

Things We Love:

The key to good smoked BBQ is maintaining temperatures throughout your cook. That’s why Cookshack smokers are built with durable stainless steel and superior insulation that keeps internal temperatures consistent while the exterior remains cool to the touch. Cookshack has produced quality, American-made smokers for more than 50 years, and its collection now includes four different models that come with five pounds of hickory wood and a “Smoking at Home” cookbook. It’s everything you need to start smoking right away!

Spacious Cooking Area:

No matter which Cookshack electric smoker you choose, you’ll be able to confidently cook for a crowd. The AmeriQue smoker, the biggest among them, is capable of holding up to 50 pounds of food across its four included racks and 1,008 square inches of cooking area. The Cookshack SuperSmoker has one fewer rack but boasts a 756-square inch cooking surface and can accommodate 35 pounds of food. If you don’t need that much cooking space, try the Smokette Elite or Smokette Original, which are still big enough to fit up to 25 pounds of food.

Convenient Controls:

Smoking can be a precise process, so Cookshack equipped most of its smokers with tools to make it easy. The Amerique, SuperSmoker and Smokette Elite each have a digital controller and meat probe so you can monitor internal food temperature, create timers, and set heat levels. These three smokers have a temperature range between 140–300 degrees to give you cooking versatility. The Smokette Original, meanwhile, has an analog thermometer and can reach temperatures between 140–250 degrees, perfect for low-and-slow smoking.

Things to Consider:

If the latest technology is important to you, keep in mind that these units are not compatible with Wi-Fi like some of the pricier smokers on the market today. For more help deciding if a Cookshack smoker is right for you, call one of our BBQ experts at 1-877-743-2269 today!

Question:
Is this an indoor smoker? Could I have this in a garage or possible a kitchen? Or is it for outside only? I ask because it looks similar to indoor smokers and it says only 2 ounces of wood is used per 60lb of meat Cooked so I assume it's very very little smoke and it has a filter to catch it or recycles the smoke idk. But thx. Asking for a friend who's interested. Wanna make sure he gets the right thing and not something that's a near but miss you know?

Answer:
This is in no way an indoor smoker. Although it only uses 2 chunks of hardwood in its smoker tray, it produces a fair amount of smoke from a top side vent, and for several hours. It must be used outdoors, definitely not in a garage. But having had one for several years I can tell you that it's a very well built and easy to use smoker. You will love it.

Asked by Guy doodeAnswered by parsley1

Answer:
This is an outdoor smoker; it could be used in your garage with the door open. Get Outlook for iOS< https://aka.ms/o0ukef>

Asked by Guy doodeAnswered by onetexan

Answer:
The Cookshack Amerique is for outdoor use only. While burning wood may or may not produce visible smoke, it always produces carbon monoxide. However, this is best used in an open but covered area.

Question:
Is this smoker large enough for a whole brisket?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
I just cooked 5 pork butts in it over the weekend for my father's 90th birthday celebration. I fed about 100 people. Everyone thought I'd been cooking for days. I literally put all 5 in and let it run for about a 14 hour smoke overnight. So - yeah, it easily takes multiple full packer briskets. I'm thinking 3 given their size and the stacking on the racks. The most I've done is 2 at a time.

Asked by StoshAnswered by randy.pettit

Answer:
Absolutely! I put 2 x 20lbs in with ease.

Question:
So I am a complete amateur at smoking, and have always used electric smokers that came equipped with a water pan. I noticed that this one does not, but figured there must be some method to the madness. How does the meat stay moist while cooking in this specific smoker? With all the excellent reviews, and everything I've read, I have pretty much made up my mind, that this is the smoker I want. However, I just need to know this one question. Thanks!
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi Chris. A water pan isn't necessary when smoking, but it can retain moisture on the surface of your food as well as helping to keep the temperature even. If you still wanted to use a water pan with this smoker, you could definlitely add one yourself without issue.

Question:
are cookshack smokers weather proof and be kept outside. i live in wisconsin and smoke year round.
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi, Edward. This smoker can be kept outside, but in a sheltered, well-ventilated area, like a patio. Also, using this cover when the AmeriQue is not in use is strongly recommended: www.bbqguys.com/cookshack/smoker-cover-for-amerique-smokers

Question:
Can I build in this smoker between my aluminium cabinets?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Great question! We would recommend a few inches of clearance on each side to ensure that there is room for heat to escape. Also, keep in mind that a small amount of smoke will escape from the vent hole on top of the smoker, so you'll want to be in a well ventilated area when using this.

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we’ve all come to expect for small parcels, so it’s important that you’re prepared and understand what’s required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We’ll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can’t be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we’ve only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don’t require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren’t required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
