When it comes to all-purpose home grills, Weber grills are top of the list. The E-210 and E-310 models are two of the best and most popular grills in the world.
Each of the grills in the E-210 and E-310 categories is incredibly high quality and versatile. They make a fantastic addition to anybody’s outdoor cooking setup.
In this post, we will compare the two and from there we will break down in detail all the grills that qualify as an E-210 or E-310 model.
Weber E-210 vs E-310 – Overview
The Weber E-210 grill is a two-burner grill and the Weber E-310 grill is a three-burner grill. Both would be considered compact grills that are perfect for family and small gatherings. They both have amazing grill features. With a porcelain-enameled cooking grate, no chipping will occur. The gas burners are easy to ignite.
Weber makes the E-210 and E-310 models in the Spirit grills. The Genesis grill models in 2023 are upgraded to the E-325 and E-335 models that we briefly cover below.
Weber E-210 Models
The Weber Spirit E-210 models are well-known compact and versatile grills
Here are some key features of the Weber Spirit E-210 models:
The E-210 models offer around 360 square inches of total cooking space, providing a decent amount of space to grill.
These grills feature two stainless steel burners. Each burner has its control knob, allowing you to adjust the temperature easily.
The grills come with an electronic crossover ignition system for a quick startup with the push of a button.
The signature Flavorizer Bars is a huge hit. These bars sit above the burners and are designed to catch drippings and vaporize them.
The cooking grates are made of porcelain-enameled cast iron. You will get even heat distribution and are easy to clean and maintain.
The grills typically come with two folding side tables. When not in use, the side tables can be folded down to save space.
The Weber Spirit E-210 has models for both liquid propane (LP) and a natural gas (NG) option.
You may also find additional features such as built-in thermometers, tool hooks, enclosed storage areas, and precision fuel gauges.
Weber E-310 Models
The Weber Spirit E-310 is a popular model in the Weber Spirit series. Here’s some information specific to the Weber Spirit E-310:
The Weber Spirit E-310 offers a primary cooking area of 424 square inches.
Unlike the E-210 models, the E-310 model features three stainless steel burners. Each burner has its control knob, providing independent heat control for different cooking zones.
Similar to the E-210 models, the E-310 has a quick and easy startup with the push of a button.
The Flavorizer Bars are made of porcelain-enameled steel.
Cooking Grates: The cooking grates on the E-310 model are typically made of porcelain-enameled cast iron, providing excellent heat retention and creating appealing grill marks on the food.
Most of the E-310 models have two folding side tables that can be folded down when not in use.
The E-310 has a propane ga model or natural gas option.
A few additional features include a built-in thermometer, tool hooks, storage areas, and precision fuel gauges.
Weber Spirit Grill vs Weber Genesis Grill
There are a few different features between Spirit and Genesis grills. Please take note that earlier genesis models included an E-210 and E-310. Those particular models are no longer made but Weber is still strong in the Genesis E Model category. We’ll go over some of those differences here, but if you want to read more you can check out our resource dedicated to comparing Spirit vs Genesis grills.
Generally speaking, Spirit grills are more of a bare-bone style of grill. The Genesis grills have more bells and whistles, meaning they’re more equipped with advanced features. With that said, the quality of a spirit is still that of a great grill.
Types of Spirit Grills
So what’s the difference between the Spirit and Spirit II Weber grill? The main difference is the Spirit has an undercabinet for the propane tank (the natural gas model you can use this area for grilling tool storage), and the Spirit II is open underneath with a shelf for storage and the propane tank hangs from the side.
Weber Spirit grills have a few different models in the E-210 and E-310 categories. Let’s take a look:

Spirit II E-310 – Cart-style grills with no below cabinet.
Types of Genesis Grills
As of 2023, the Propane Genesis E Grills 325, 335, and 435 are available. They range between a 3-burner grill vs a 4-burner grill. These models are also available as the Natural Gas Genesis E Grills. Since the E-210 and E-310 are discontinued, we won’t get too into detail here.
Which Grills Are We Talking About?
My tongue is a little bit twisted with all these models. The Weber Spirit model E grills will be our main topic in this article. The good news is, there’s likely a great fit for you no matter what your preferences are!
Number of Burners
All of the E-210 models are 2 burner gas grills whereas the E-310 models are 3 burner gas grills. Weber’s naming taxonomy indicates the number of burners with the leading number in the model. So for example, their E-410 grills are 4-burner gas grills. The more burners the grill has, the more cooking space is available.
The main difference in burners typically breaks down to cooking space on the grill. By default, E-210 grills are going to have less cooking area than E-310 models. They’re also smaller in profile than E-310 grills.
The amount of burners also changes the amount of heat that is output. Fewer burners mean less heat. Both the 2 burner and 3 burner grills output high temperatures – but if you’re a steak connoisseur who will regularly sear, you might want to lean towards a model with more heat output.

Gs4 grilling system with improved infinity ignition, burners, porcelain-enameled Flavorizer Bars, and grease Management system
Weber E-210 vs E-310 – Common Features
Weber GS4 Grilling System
All of these grills come equipped with Weber’s signature GS4 grilling system. The GS4 system is basically the inclusion of 4 great features in each of their grills. Here is what what were talking about:
1. Infinity Ignition
A quick-start ignition system. Simply open your fuel line, turn your grill knobs to open, and press the button. It’s as simple as that to get your grill heating up!
2. Powerful, Even Burners
One of the most important functions of a grill is to evenly distribute heat so that your food cooks properly. Almost a century of engineering and experience has gone into the design of these powerful burners.
3. Flavorizer Bars
A personal favorite of mine. Upside down V shaped bars rest under the grates and over the burner bars. These bars protect the flame and catch drippings that fall down off of your food while it cooks. This is a good thing because it lowers the probability of drippings hitting the flame and causing flare ups. The drippings also vaporize when they contact the flavorizer bars and rise back up as steam and smoke, which add incredible flavor to your food.
4. Grease Management
Grease is the last thing I want to deal with, so Weber designed a system to make it as easy as possible. Basically, all grease and food particles are funneled to a disposable drip tray. When it fills up, you simply throw it away and put a new tray in. There’s no need for an extensive deep cleaning to get grease out of your grill.
One of the reasons that Weber is arguably the best brand in grilling in my mind is due to the fact that their warranties blow industry competition out of the water.
All of the warranties covering parts and main components last for 10 years. That’s an entire decade that your grill is covered if something happens.
I can’t stress enough the value of a good warranty. Not only does it protect your purchase, but I also view it as a sign of integrity in the manufacturer. A good warranty bolsters my confidence in the quality of their product, as they’re willing to put their money where their mouth is.
How to Decide Between Weber E-210 vs E-310
Hopefully, this guide has helped to highlight some of the similarities and differences between the Weber E-210 vs E-310 grills.
At the end of the day, you should consider how much cooking space you want, what your budget is, and any other features that are important to you. The nice thing with these grills is that you don’t have to worry about quality or how well they’re built. Weber has a sterling reputation and you can be sure that you’re getting a well-made grill.
