There’s a special place in my heart for 2 burner gas grills.  My first grill ever was a small gas grill with only 2 burners, and they are a great option whether you are a beginner or an expert or somewhere in between.

They strike a perfect balance of cooking ability, affordability, and can fit into just about any space on your patio or deck!  These grills are the best choice for those of us that don’t have a ton of room to dedicate to a grill.

And most importantly, they’ll grill some incredibly good food.

Compared to other grills on the market, you’re going to be hard pressed to find a grill that will do everything you want it to for the kind of price a two burner will be.  In this post, we’ll list and review our picks for the best 2 burner gas grills on the market today.

If you stick around until the end, we’ll go over some buying tips and FAQ to help you in your search!

Weber is one of the most trusted brands in grilling, so it comes as no surprise that they also make one of the best 2 burner gas grills on the market.  The Spirit II E-210 is a reliable, durable gas grill at a reasonable price point.

Most notably they offer a primary cooking area of 360 square inches, which is best in class by a pretty decent margin.  As you’d expect, the cooking area features porcelain-enameled cast iron grates which char your food perfectly and are easy to clean.

In addition to the primary cooking area, there’s also a warming rack that’s roughly 100 square inches in area.  2 side tables and 6 tool hooks total are located on either side of the grill, which gives you a bunch of extra space for storage and organization.  A quick ignition button lets you fire up the grill and begin heating up in moments.

We mentioned the Weber brand being a trusted one in the grilling community – buying one of their grills definitely comes with its perks.

Their grills are backed by a 10 year manufacturer’s warranty, and most models (this one included) come with iGrill 3 compatibility.  The iGrill 3 accessory is sold separately, but is a really cool piece of technology that links up with a phone app to enhance your grilling experience.

Weber also sells a 2 burner gas grill that intakes Natural Gas instead of Liquid Propane.  So if you have a natural gas connection, that’s an option for you as well.  Their grills come in 5 different colors too so you can pick a design that suits your style!

Note – we have some other guides here that might be helpful if you’re comparing gas grills made by Weber:

  • 10 year manufacturer’s warranty
  • 360 square inches of primary cooking area
  • Porcelain-enameled cast iron grates
  • Liquid Propane or Natural Gas inputs

  • The entire unit is heavy
  • Some assembly required

We want to highlight the Char-Broil Performance 300 2-Burner LPG Grill as one of our picks for the top 2 burner gas grill.  This bad boy can turn up the heat up to 24,000 BTU’s across a 300 square inch cooking surface (15.9” wide by 18.5” deep), enough to handle just about any home grilling duty you could imagine.  As a point of reference, that’s enough space for about 16 burgers at once.

An electronic ignition system is wired to have your grill heating up within seconds of you pressing the ignition button.

The cooking surface itself features rust-resistant cast iron grates that are porcelain-coated.  That latter attribute is important, because it makes the grates resistant to food getting stuck on the cooking surface and cleaning your cooking area a breeze.

In addition to the 300 square inch cooking surface, there’s a 100 square inch (13.2” wide by 7.4” deep) swing away warming rack that comes in handy more often than you think.  It’s a perfect spot to keep appetizers or veggies warm while you grill something else.

For how much horsepower this grill has, it really is amazing how slender the profile is.  It measures only 43” wide by 25” deep by 44” tall.  And you can actually fold down the two metal side shelves to make it even more slim if you need the space.  This unit is supported by four casters – two of which have the ability to lock and keep it in place.

There’s also room for storage space inside of the cabinet, and a removable grease pan below to make things as easy as possible on the grill master!

  • Outstanding Price
  • Extra storage space and removable grease pan
  • Lid mounted temperature gague
  • Electronic quick ignition
  • Lots of horsepower for how small it is

  • Only for use outdoors
  • A little heavy despite slim profile

Cuisinart CGG-306 Tabletop Gas Grill

One of the most attractive features of two burner gas grills to me is how little space they take up.  You can have all of the awesomeness of grilled food without having to dedicate a ton of space to a huge grill.  For the truly space conscious, the Cuisinart CGG-306 Professional is the way to go.

The grill is a two burner tabletop grill made up entirely of stainless steel and is designed with folding legs and a carrying handle to make it easy to store and transport any time.  It only weighs 22 pounds!

Don’t let the small profile and light weight fool you though – this thing can bring it for how small it is.  Each burner provides 10,000 BTU’s of heat for a total of 20,000 BTU’s when each burner is in use.  Adjustable burner knobs and an integrated thermometer help you stay in complete control of the temperature.

  • Super versatile and lightweight
  • Perfect for tailgaiting or camping
  • Stainless steel grates are ideal for large cuts of meat
  • 20,000 BTU’s heat output

  • You have to transport a propane tank with it

Char-Broil TRU-Infrared 325 2-Burner Gas Grill

Char-Broil has another appearance on the best 2 burner gas grill list with their TRU-Infrared 325 Cabinet Grill.  Most notably, this unit has 325 square inches of primary cooking area with a 120 square inch warming rack to boot.

Another nice feature is the TRU Infrared grilling technology, which simply put will help the grill heat up faster, hotter, and more evenly than other models.  The ability to crank up the heat faster helps seal the meats you grill and lock in that delicious flavor.

The side shelves are foldable, so it’s easy to switch between extra work space and convenient storage depending on what your needs are.  With the purchase of a conversion kit, this grill easily converts from propane to natural gas.

All in all, you’ll be hard pressed to find a higher performance grill in the 2-burner class.  This is a great option for intermediate to master grillers.

  • Infrared grill technology provides fast, even heat
  • 325 square inch primary cooking area
  • Folding shelves and cabinet storage
  • Electronic ignition and built in temperature guage

  • Main burner is only 18,000 BTUs
  • Almost 100 pounds

Giantex Propane Tabletop Gas Grill

Giantex also makes a great on-the-go grill, and it’s a worthy alternative to the Cuisinart Professional we took a look at above.

With about 266 square inches of cooking space, stainless steel grates, and 20,000 BTU’s, it’s a powerful grill that’s perfect for camping or tailgating.

The design is foldable and weighs only 26 pounds, so it easily stows in the trunk of your vehicle and is carried by a built-in handle.  The Giantex Tabletop Gas Grill is definitely worth a look if you’re looking for a portable grill.

  • Perfect for tailgaiting or camping
  • 20,000 BTU’s heat output
  • Stainless steel design is durable and easy to clean
  • 40 foot propane hose included

  • You have to transport a propane tank with it

Monument 2 Burner Gas Grill with Viewing Window

Monument grills has come on in recent years to establish themselves as a great option for budget grills – all the while maintaining a nice level of quality.

Their 2-Burner Stainless Steel grill is an excellent choice, usually below the $300 price point, and has 473 square inches of total cooking surface area (326 square inches on the main grate and 147 square inches of warming rack).

One really cool feature about this grill is the viewing window, a feature that you’d normally only find on more expensive grills.  The window lets you watch your food while it cooks, reducing the temptation to lift the lid and peek at your food.  This makes a difference because each time you open the lid, your grill loses valuable heat!

The cooking grates are a reasonable quality and made of porcelain coated cast iron – if you take good care of them, they will last you quite a while!

Weber Genesis II E-210 Gas Grill

We’re circling back to Weber for a moment to take a look at their Genesis II E-310 Gas Grill.  All in all it shares a few similarities with the Spirit II E-210, but it also has a few distinctions that make it a little bit more powerful and durable.

Of course, these upgrades come at a slightly higher cost – so that’s definitely something to take into consideration.

This grill comes with Weber’s signature GS4 grilling system and flavorizer bars, so you can guarantee that your food will come out full of flavor.

It has 380 square inches of primary cooking surface area along with an additional 114 square inches in the form of a swing away rack.

And last but not least, it comes backed by a spectacular 10 year warranty from Weber.

  • 10 year manufacturer’s warranty
  • 380 square inches of primary cooking area, 494 total square inches
  • Porcelain-enameled cast iron grates
  • Liquid Propane or Natural Gas inputs
  • GS4 grilling system

  • Price is high relative to other 2 burner gas grills

MASTER COOK Professional 2-Burner Liquid Propane Gas Grill

Master Cook is a lesser known brand in the grilling space, but they make a quality product that is sure to satisfy.  Most of all, the Master Cook Professional can crank up the heat with up to 32,000 BTU capability.  That’s an incredible amount of heat – which can come in handy for searing large cuts of meat.

The main cooking area is a respectable 312 square inches with an 88 square inch warming rack, which is a great amount of space for a 2 burner gas grill.  The grates are porcelain-enameled cast iron, which is pretty standard across this class of grill.

Some assembly is required, but it’s pretty straightforward and you’ll be ready to cook in no time.  There’s a decent amount of storage space in the cabinet, which is also where your propane tank will sit.

2 of the heavy duty wheel casters lock into place for a secure base, and a quick start ignition system is pre wired with this grill.

  • 325 square inch primary cooking area
  • 32,000 BTU heat output
  • Easy assembly and only 70 pounds
  • Locking wheels

  • No warranty included

Best 2 Burner Gas Grill – Buying Tips

Know How Much Space You Need

One of the most attractive qualities of 2 burner gas grills is that they don’t take up very much space.  Many are only a few feet wide when the side arms are folded in, so they are a great option for grilling in tight spaces.  If you have an apartment with a small patio, for example, this could be a great way to go.

A Word on Price

Another really great feature of 2 burner gas grills is their price relative to units with 3, 4, or more burners.  Most 2 burners are only a few hundred bucks max, but depending on the brand you choose that can climb near $1,000, or get even higher.

The best 2 burner gas grills won’t sacrifice much when it comes to cooking ability either.  As far as bang for your buck goes, they are really hard to beat.

What Are Your Cooking Needs?

Do you plan on grilling tons of burgers for cookouts?  Or is grilling a big juicy steak more your style?  Are you looking for a tabletop grill that you can take tailgating or camping?

All of these questions contribute to what the best 2 burner gas grill for you will be – or if it’s even the right type of grill for you in the first place.  Think about how much primary cooking space you need, and which cuts of meat you’ll frequently cook
